Governor Crist allows transportation trust fund sweeps to stand
- By Martha HarbinToday Governor Crist signed the state's budget into law, allowing to stand the $120.2 million sweep of transportation trust funds; dollars that were allocated to other spending priorities. It is as yet unclear how these cuts will translate into port infrastructure and intermodal cuts but they will certainly exacerbate the challenges that Florida's ports are facing to upgrade infrastructure in the wake of $25 million in cuts that the state already has made to seaport spending.
